Short description

The Swiss medical profession recognises climate change as a substantial threat to regional and global health. Climate change is the greatest health threat of our century. Both the Federal Council's new health policy strategy for 2020–2030 and the COVID-19 pandemic underscore the importance of a holistic view of human health, which is intricately linked to our environment.

The strategy was developed by a working group composed of members of the umbrella organisations VEDAG, SMSR, OMCT, FMCH, KHM, VSAO, swimsa and SIWF, and was approved by a large majority of the Medical Association.
