Ambassador Programme
Planetary Health Education Ambassador Programme
We warmly invite you to join the Planetary Health Education Ambassador Programme! This faculty development initiative is designed to promote the integration of transformative education on Planetary Health into health-centred study programmes across Switzerland.
Whether your institution is taking its first steps towards implementing the Planetary Health Curriculum or looking to expand its existing methodological breadth, this programme will support your goals.
Detailed information
Format: A blended-learning experience in English, featuring self-directed study, online sessions, and one immersive in-person day in Bern.
Time commitment & dates: Approximately 17 hours spread over three months:

Online session on Wednesday, 28.10.2026, 2-4.00 pm

In-person day in Bern on Monday, 09.11.2026, 9 am-5 pm

Online session on Monday, 16.11.2026, 2-4 pm

Online session on Wednesday, 20.1.2027, 2-4 pm
Who: The cohort is open to anyone at a Swiss HEI wanting to advance Planetary Health education, from motivated students to deans and teaching staff, regardless of prior experience.
Outcomes: Deepen your methodological teaching knowledge, build a national support network of peers, design, launch, or advance a concrete Planetary Health education project that directly benefits your home faculty, and earn a PHUSE Planetary Health Education Ambassador certificate.
Certificate: A Planetary Health Education Ambassador certificate will be issued upon successful participation in all sessions and handed-in reflection.

Join us at our PHUSE Network meetings!
The meetings bring together educators, students, researchers and professionals and take place approximately every three months. The focus is on national exchange and updates on Planetary Health education. A project or problem is presented in a deep dive, followed by a joint discussion.
These meetings are intended to help you discuss your personal challenges in the field of PH education and connect and exchange ideas with like-minded people to develop new ideas on a local or national level.
